Times are uncertain and confidence is shaky

Friend,
Times are uncertain and confidence is shaky. Also, history has shown us marketers that in uncertain times like these, the brands that can keep their foot on the gas through a down-turn are the ones that are left standing when the dust settles. I get it, though. It’s incredibly hard to think about being innovative when you may be facing having to make the tough calls about which line items you cut from the P&L. I’d love to help you come up with a Plan B, should those tough calls become a reality.
I created a rev-share model as an alternative to the traditional agency retainer over 5 years ago originally to serve very select start-ups on a hush-hush basis. For a low monthly fee + percentage of sales, we’ve been able to help amazing start-up brands, who are now doing so much good in the world, efficiently scale to their next level of growth. Our rev-share agreements are a 90-day commitment, and then month-to-month after that. If there was ever a time to use this model to help more wonderful brands, it’s right now.
The reality is we don’t know what the coming weeks and months hold for us as leaders of brands & business. My hope is that we all pull through unscathed. But if not, let’s at least have a plan B in our back pockets that may include this model.
Instances where this rev-share model is quite effective:
Lifestyle brands that have an eCommerce channel and a retail channel
Purpose-driven brands. Our expertise runs deep with brands in the following niches:
Natural products brands
B-Corps
Wellness brands
Sustainability minded brands
Outdoor & fitness brands
Organic CPG brands
Brands already generating eCommerce revenue
You have a website that converts pretty strongly
Instances where this rev-share model isn’t a great fit:
B2B and lead generation
Brands with no eCommerce channel
A poorly converting website
